A multidisciplinary partnership
CLIMATCH combines expertise in epidemiology, public health, spatial modelling, climate science and non-communicable diseases. Tanzanian implementation experience is paired with international scientific and technical collaboration.
The partnership supports three connected components: spatio-temporal ecological analysis, a comparative cross-sectional survey and qualitative research with communities, health workers and policymakers.
Shared priorities
Early collaboration meetings established common approaches for field implementation, research governance, ethics, data analysis and communication of results.
The programme is designed to generate evidence that can inform NCD prevention, management and climate adaptation policy in Tanzania.
